The Summer School was held at the University of Maryland during the week of June 3-7, 2024. The School brought about 50 graduate students from across the country to campus for a week of lectures by 8 experts and lots of social interaction. In addition, about 75 people from across the globe had access to live broadcasts of the lectures; this included about 20 research staff at various federal research labs.

Lodging and travel support was provided to all applicants from outside the Washington metro area through the generous support of the Burgers Program for Fluid Dynamics and the NSF Fluid Dynamics Program.
