Burgers Program Summer School on Turbulence

The Summer School will be held at the University of Maryland during the week of June 3-7, 2024. The School is aimed at graduate students and postdoctoral fellows who have some experience with turbulence (e.g., have taken one graduate-level course on turbulence, or have aquired a basic knowledge through research). The school will feature about 20 hours of lectures from multiple instructors and hands-on tutorials where participants interact with DNS data sets. The objective of the School is to help young researchers gain additional knowledge and build their professional networks.

The application process is now closed. However, people interested in watching the lectures virtually should fill out this Google form.

Lodging and travel support will be provided to all applicants from outside the Washington metro area through the generous support of the Burgers Program for Fluid Dynamics and the NSF Fluid Dynamics Program.
